On Saturday, April 20th, the GOLDLAW staff, along with 7,000 environmentally conscious individuals, celebrated St. Lucie County’s 20th Annual Earth Day Celebration at the Oxbow Eco-Center.

A true family fun day, the Earth Day Festival provided the perfect environment for people of all ages to learn more about Mother Earth.

The Oxbow Eco-Center and Preserve is the perfect host for Earth Day activities. Situated on 225 acres along the North Fork of the St. Lucie River, the land is managed and preserved to sustain native plants and wildlife. Boardwalks, pedestrian trails and observation towers allow visitors to fully experience nature without disturbing it. More importantly, the Oxbow leads by example. The Eco-Center was constructed using “green building technologies and is a model for sustainability. Built with recycled and recyclable materials, the Center also features a cistern system to capture rainfall. The building is proof that everyone can “lighten our load on the planet,” and protect natural resources for future generations.
