The rivalry
What is the Muck Bowl?
One of South Florida's most celebrated high school football rivalries returns in 2026 as the Glades Central Raiders and Pahokee Blue Devils prepare to face off in the Muck Bowl.
For more than five decades, the Muck Bowl has brought together two neighboring communities with extraordinary football traditions. The annual matchup represents much more than a game. It’s a celebration of hometown pride, generations of talented athletes, and a rivalry that has helped put the communities surrounding Lake Okeechobee on the national football map.
The modern rivalry series dates to 1970, and both programs have produced state champions, college standouts, and NFL stars.
Glades Central enters the 2026 matchup following a 14-0 victory over Pahokee in the 2025 Muck Bowl.
