GOLDLAW is pleased to announce that it has been named a 2024 Top Workplace by the Sun-Sentinel. This special designation is awarded to companies that qualify based on employee sentiment, collected via surveys and analyzed by a human resources firm.
Culture is the Key
Leading the charge for employee satisfaction at GOLDLAW is Chief Culture Officer Michelle Winfree. In 2022, GOLDLAW moved to a new office at EcoPlex. The building features dedicated spaces for breaks and relaxation. GOLDLAW took their own space to the next level by creating a recreation room complete with arcade games, pinball, and bumper pool. A new Wellness Room was also designed, providing employees with a space to take midday breaks, meditate, or simply relax.
Throughout the year, GOLDLAW employees are offered the opportunity to participate in numerous social outings, including walks, volunteer activities, team-building events, and happy hours. The law firm’s employees are also encouraged to stay physically fit by using the fully equipped fitness center at EcoPlex. To help team members get on their feet, GOLDLAW installed “standing” desks at every workstation, allowing employees to stand and stretch throughout the day. Over the last year, GOLDLAW gave all employees the opportunity to take a 4-hour mental health break during the month of May in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. Staff are encouraged to do something for themselves, and not just make a trip to the supermarket or clean the house.
Happy Employees are Productive Employees
“At GOLDAW, we strive to make our workplace an inclusive and supportive environment where our employees feel empowered to come and work,” said Craig Goldenfarb, CEO and Founder of GOLDLAW. “Our employees are at the forefront of business and community initiatives, and this recognition is a testament to both our workplace culture and their dedication to our clients and community. We are proud and honored to receive the Top Workplace designation.”
Top Workplace Criteria
The annual Top Workplace award is based on a 24-question employee survey sent to 35,725 employees across South Florida. More than 19,000 employees responded, and their feedback was used by Sun-Sentinel and Energage, LLC, a Philadelphia-based employee engagement platform , to rank 126 companies in three categories based on the number of their employees: Large-400-plus, Midsize-125-399, and Small-125 or fewer.
The survey was conducted from September 2023 through January 2024. Companies which exceeded benchmark scores for their size group made the winners list. Special awards were also given to companies with standout scores in areas of leadership, values, direction, communication, meaningfulness, and benefits.
