What is the Hazard?

The fire pits, which use alcohol as fuel, are prone to flame jetting – a dangerous flashback of fire that can suddenly propel burning alcohol, causing serious burns.

There have been 31 reports of flame jetting, resulting in 19 injuries, with some victims suffering third-degree burns and long-term medical treatment.
